Christmas and New Year’s is a great time to sit down, take a deep breath and reflect about the year that’s just gone and the year ahead. Various topics are spoken about but one that is common topic is normally property. This is a good time of the year to work out your property goals and what you want to get out of the year ahead.
Some of the questions you may be asking before you set your goals are: What has worked for you and what hasn’t? If it hasn’t then why hasn’t it? How can we improve our investment return? Do we need to look at upgrading or downsizing? Will we remain here, or will we move to another area or town? Do we need to assist our children and getting them into the market? Is our property a financial burden or strain? Do you need a massive mortgage and be constantly working all the time to pay down debt?
There are a million questions you could ask but these above are generally the key ones.
Once you have gone through and answered these questions it will give you better clarity as to the year ahead and what you want to get out of property. You may even decide to assist you in your goal setting that you obtain some advice from your accountant, financial advisor, mentor or property consultant. And once you have set your goals it will give you a clear direction of where you want to head to.
Have a very Merry Christmas, happy new year and we look forward to assisting you in making your goals come true in 2016.
